In addition to the wines of Domaine Chapel, made from the vines worked by David and Michèle, they created Smith-Chapel, a range of “negoce” wines resulting from the purchase of grapes grown organically on the hillsides of Beaujolais and from neighboring Mâconnais.
Smith-Chapel is an exploration of high altitude plots located on the slopes of Beaujolais and the neighboring Mâconnais region. We work in partnership with producers who farm with respect for the land they care for, who are either already certified organic or in the process of converting for certification.
To reduce environmental impact during shipping, our Smith-Chapel wines are bottled in lightweight glass and sealed with a Nomacorc, a cork-shaped stopper, made from neutral sugar cane in carbon, a recyclable and renewable resource.
