The story of Domaine Chapel begins in Morgon, weaves its way through New York City and then circles back to Beaujolais.
Is a Beaujolais estate founded by Michele Smith and David Chapel in 2016. Today, the Chapels farm 4 hectares of vines on the slopes of Beaujolais, divided between the crus Chiroubles and Fleurie. Anchored by a deep commitment to the natural environment and the health of the soil, the Chapels work their vineyard parcels by hand.
In addition to the wines of Domaine Chapel, made from vines farmed by David and Michele, a range of micro-négoçiant wines are made under the Smith-Chapel label, using fruit from organically farmed vines on the slopes of Beaujolais and the nearby Mâconnais region.
